Situated in Billericay High Street, the Community Pastor Hub is part of a wider initiative called The Love Billericay Centre, with the objective of having an active and vibrant Christian presence in the town centre. Its opening has been delayed by the devastating fire which impacted Chantry House in April 2024. However, we are determined that this project will go ahead and become an important focal point for the local community.

The Hub has served for some years as the base for Street Pastor patrols, and it continues that role under the Community Pastor banner, providing a safe place for those out on the town in the ‘night-time economy’. The public are always welcome, whether they are looking for help or counselling, need to pick up their mineral water or flip-flops, or just wander in for a friendly chat.

Also based at The Centre will be Revival Church, a modern, relevant Christian faith centre with an emphasis on care for the community. It’s slogan “Blessing Our Town” sums it up neatly.

The Centre is also home to Baby Basics, a charity that takes referrals from a range of professionals and charities, working with vulnerable women and families, to provide essential post-natal supplies.

Another vital function of the Hub will be to serve as a day centre. As well as offering relief from the hustle and bustle of the High Street, it will provide a 'warm space' where particular the lonely and elderly can meet others or find a welcome volunteer to chat with. It's not a café , but we can offer you a free cup of tea or coffee. The Hub will provide a safe place for ‘latchkey’ kids (whose parents both work), where they be able to take advantage of our free WiFi, maybe do their homework, or just chill out with mates.

The Hub already has a role engaging with the community, and it's perfect High Street location is ideal for clinics offered by Basildon Mind or the Citizens Advice Bureau, for instance.
Let’s Talk sessions give the public an opportunity to meet their local Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), discuss local issues and enjoy a ‘coffee with cops’.

It's all part of the church engaging with the local community.
